From Fall 2024 to Spring 2025, we conducted a search to identify urban forest incentives targeting private property owners in the U.S. Our search focused on mechanisms adopted at the state, county, and local jurisdictions with populations over 50,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau (2020). The incentives were organized into categories according to the type of management they serve.
